SARDINA.

The sardina is a clupeiforme fish species of the cupleidae family, is the only species of its genus. This closely related with anchovies and herring. The elongated body is not strongly compressed. The upper jaw little or no halter. Maxillary not extending beyond the middle of the eye. The eye has an adipose eyelid well developed. Teeth are small or zero.
